    Dear all,
Since I am a newbie to all of this, I know it might be silly for me to ask but how do I get rid of the white block (which is supposed to be the header??) on my page?

    This is my blog:

Any help will be appreciated! Thank you!

This is the link to your header image.
    http://time-ashes.net/kaleidoscope/wp-content/themes/default/images/header-img.php?upper=FFFFFF&lower=FFFFFF

What exactly are you trying to do here?
All you need to do is create your image.
    Go to:
    wp-content/themes/default/images/
    rename kubrickheader.jpg to whatever.jpg
    name your image kubrickheader.jpg
    upload to:
    wp-content/themes/default/images/

This saves you a lot of grief with templates and css.
