How do I delete comment counter on posts?

  • Hi everyone and thanks in advance for your help,

    I have tried to figure this one out myself with no luck. My blog uses Facebook comments and I have WordPress comments disabled, yet on my posts there is still meta-data saying “no comments” on each post. I don’t want to delete this entirely as I would still like to have the author name come up under the title. I would however like to get rid of the “no comments” and “edit entry” meta-data.

    For an example of what I mean, look under the heading on this post…

    You can hide the “no comments” using CSS:

    .entry .post-comms {
       display: none;
    }

    Preferably, using a child theme or custom CSS option or plug-in so that your changes are not overwritten when the theme is updated.

    I don’t see “edit entry” – maybe that’s only visible to you?
