# How do I decrease the width of a table?

 * Hi,
 * A friend added a table to my blog to place an ebook in the space right next to
   the optin box.
 * Now, when I open the blog in Internet Explorer, everything is located at the 
   bottom of the page.
 * When I open it in Firefox, it seems okay but I can tell that the left vertical
   dashed line is sort of overlapping the sidebar right vertical border.
 * I have played with the numbers without success because I really don’t know what
   I’m doing.
 * Can you please help?

 * I notice that your friend added has been defined with a “width” attribute of 
   74%. Reduce that until you get the results you’re after.

 * Thanks pizdin…the optin box is right there to the right of the ebook.
 * Okay, when I reduce the 74%, the “inner” line decreases, not the one resting 
   on the sidebar.
