How do I customize wordpress registration fields?

    I know this is an issue that has been touched on, but im still having trouble. I dont know a lick of coding. I’ve tried to learn but I get confused with child theme creation/FTP/CSS styling – all that stuff.

    I’m using a responsive theme with buddypress. I want my users to remain anonymous, but still identifiable. I would like to use a custom user name format such as an “adjective” that they can choose from a dropdown box, their “initials” and “year of birth”, for example “Grumpy”ABC”1972”.

    Does anyone know if this is possible without hiring a developer or modifying any code?
