1. I want to know as to how I can create a subcategory filter on the category archive page

    2. I want also to add products only for the only “current category “using woolentor product widget using the “Current Query ” as we get in the Woocomerce widget?

    Helllo @neenad1977,

Thanks for contacting us. Hope you are doing well 🙂

Currently, our plugin doesn’t have any particular option to create a subcategory filter.

I am sorry, but the question is not completely clear to me. Are you asking how to showcase products only for the “current category” based on the “Current Query“?

If yes, please try using the “Product Archive Layout (Default)” widget. It will fetch and show products based on the “Current Category.”

Please let me know if it works.

    Kind regards,

    Tarek Aziz

Thanks for the reply Tarek .

    1. So as I understand the only way to filter is through attributes right now
    2. Yes i want to showcase products only for the “current category” based on the “Current Query“? so for achieving this both Product archive layout default or custom- can be used right ?

I have one more query – should I create the category archive in Elementor Product archive or the Shoplentor template builder ?

    You are very welcome 🙂

Aside from filtering through product attributes, you can filter products through their parent categories as well.

Yes, you can use the “Product Archive Layout (Default)” widget. Alternatively, you can use the “Product Archive Layout (Custom)” widget if you are using the premium version.

    Hope this helps!

Regarding the query you mentioned in your last message:

If you create the category archive with the Elementor product archive option, it should not create any problems.

But, my recommendation for you, in this case, is to use the ShopLentor template builder feature.

    Thank you!

Sorry for the trouble and being patient with me Tarek , but i have some more queries

    1. As you understand that Im not making a general shop page as all websites have , but each category will have it own shop page( through a Product Category Archive ) with a link in the menu and a category carousel .
    2. Now each category has attributes associated with it -and I want to filter each category by the attribute associated with it ( the attributes are not common and differ from category to category
    3. Is there a way that I can enable only the attributes associated with that category on the category page? OR I will have to create a separate category archive for each category?
    4. I also want to use Variation swatches and ive seen that there is no option to customize the colour of variation swatches in woolentor – has that to be done in the variation swatches plugin settings ?

    Hi @neenad1977,

Oh! don’t worry about it. It’s alright!

Below are the answers to your queries:

#1 As you understand that I’m not making a general shop page as all websites have, but each category will have its own shop page( through a Product Category Archive ) with a link in the menu and a category carousel.

Yes, we understand that your website will not have a common shop page like any other typical website. But here is the thing:

In the free version of the plugin, there is no option available to create separate template designs (that can be used as shop pages) for your product categories individually. But, the premium version has the option to achieve this.

#2 Now each category has attributes associated with it -and I want to filter each category by the attribute associated with it ( the attributes are not common and differ from category to category

When you can create separate templates for different product categories, it is also possible to filter each category based on its corresponding attributes.

#3 Is there a way that I can enable only the attributes associated with that category on the category page? OR I will have to create a separate category archive for each category?

Yes, you can do so by creating individual template for each category.

#4 I also want to use Variation swatches and I’ve seen that there is no option to customize the colour of variation swatches in WooLentor – has that to be done in the variation swatches plugin settings?

There are options available to customize variation swatch colors and images. Here are a few screenshots for your convenience:
