• I need to create a link from a piece of text on one page to another piece of text on a different page – how, that is my problem?

I have an article on a history page which I want to link to a paragraph of text on a totally separate page.

Linking to a media item, picture or attachment is fine but I can’t find a way to do it with just text.

I’m sure there is a simple answer but so far it has eluded me.

I’m using Word press v4.2.2 and Weaver II v2.3

  • What about hotlinks {#id} ?

    For example; click this link:
    #post-7171720

and notice that your topic has jumped to be on top of the page..
Do you feel like that’s what you wanted?

I believe you are looking for html anchor links.

    Thanks for the help guys

Samuel Elh: I couldn’t get the “post” link to work so am unable to comment on that one, but would be interested to see what it says so maybe you can you can get the link to work or give me another way of looking at the post in question. I’ll leave this query open for a few days as I would like to see what it says.

Scrambler: The “echoecho” works fine and gave me the information I wanted, thank you
