Support » Themes and Templates » How do I change the size of the font for page or post?

  • Hi there, I am new to WP and teaching myself to build websites using the excellent tutorials at Treehouse.

    I am currently stuck on the issue of changing the font size for post and page titles.

    I have read just about every post related to this but have been unable to solve my problem. I hope you can help.

    In style.css under ‘posts and pages’ I have located the following

    .entry-title {
    font-family: Montserrat, “Helvetica Neue”, sans-serif;
    font-size: 28px;
    font-size: 1.75rem;
    font-weight: 700;
    line-height: 1.25;
    margin-bottom: 1em;

    I have checked that this is the correct code by changing the font and colour, however when I change the font size, it remains the same. In fact, to see what would happen, I deleted the font size code completely and it still stays the same size.

    Can someone please tell me what I am missing here.

    (I don’t have the site online yet as I’m still building it locally)
