# How do I Backup WordPress

 * From phpMyAdmin, what are optimal settings.
    The Codex contradicts itself.
 * In one section, it says to leave all the Data Section unticked.

 * thanks but I don’t use any plugins…particularly for something as critical as 
   a backup.
 * I’m looking for the optimal way through cpanel/phpMyAdmin. I’ve done dozens of
   backups and restores…just want to know what’s recommended – codex gives two different
   versions of the truth.
 * For example, complete inserts…is it necessary???
    I think I might answer my own
   question.. “Complete inserts” adds the column names on every INSERT command, 
   for better documentation (but resulting file is bigger).
