Hi
The feature is already there in the premium version.
But since you have directly added in the code than that will not be an issue, make sure about the plugin update in future. If we release new update regarding say some bug fix or new feature and you update the plugin than in that situation you will loose the editions you added directly in the plugins core code.
For now there is no issue.
