Support » Plugin: WooCommerce » How do I add items to the cart and have their shipping costs added accordingly?

  • I tried asking this question before but didn’t give enough details and couldn’t find a solution. So here is my question with more details.

I have three different types of products (Product A: framed prints, Product B: unframed prints, and Product C: prints), each with different shipping costs depending on their destination. So, for example, Product A will cost $5 to go to California, but $10 to go to New York. Same with the other products.

I have created shipping classes for each of the products.

I also created 5 shipping zones for the 50 states.

Here is an example of the flat rate settings for one of the zones (Zone 1).

Currently, when I add Product A and Product B to the cart and set the destination address to California (Zone 1), the shipping cost totals to $5 when it should be $10 since the shipping cost for Product A (framed) is $5 and the shipping cost for Product B (unframed) is also $5. On top of that, if I add another Product A item to the cart, the shipping total should increase to $15 since $5(2) + $5 = $15. Yet, the shipping total remains at $5.

To put it very simply, how do I make it so that every item that gets added to the cart gets its respective shipping cost added to the shipping total as well?
