  • That really depends where you want it to appear.
It could be inserted into a number of places.

Let’s say I might want it to appear on the right side column…or maybe the left side column. I understand or remember how the html code works, I just need to know how to “insert” any such code into WordPress.

In the old legacy html pages we simply inserted where ever we wanted it to appear and hoped that it showed up there. I know that doesn’t work with WordPress.

Is there a simple WordPress way, or must I use some sort of plugin to install? If so, which plugins do I use?

Perhaps you see my quandary. Thanks again.

well, in the columns (sidebars) you would go to appearance->widgets from your admin menu, drop a text widget into the sidebar, and insert your code into the widget

Well it really depends if it’s going to be placed into a static position, in such cases i’d say adding it directly to a theme template file would be appropriate.

However if it’s intended for a sidebar, and assuming your given sidebar is widgetized, then you could use a simple text widget (just copy and paste the code into a text widget “Admin > Appearance > Widgets”)..

Thanks guys. This old man is finally getting the idea….I think!:)

I’ll do some playing around. See if I can properly insert.

If I run in to problems I’ll get back with you. Many thanks.

Worked like a charm guys. Simply had to change dimensions a bit. Otherwise a simple install. Don’t you just love it when a plan comes together? 🙂

    Gotta love the simple things..

    Happy to help.. 🙂
