How do I add a new permalink “part” or change an existing one?

  • For instance, %postname% displays the post_title. But what if I wanted website.com/(category)/(episode#)/(postname)
    or
    website.com/(category)/(episode#/postname)

    I have a field in the post table/database named post_episode.

    How do I add a new permalink “part” or change %postname%?

    Rhis dosn’t seem to help. There is nothing in there that says how to creat your own permalink tag.

    It’s explaining how to use the ones they give you.

    I want to either creat a new permalink tag that displace the post’s episode number;
    Or customize the %postname% permalink tag to join the episode # field with the title field.
