Support » Fixing WordPress » How do I add a link for customers to download images?

  • Resolved sruddy

I set up password protected pages for my clients to proof their images. Once they are proofed I would like the ability for them to just hit one link which would start to download a folder containing all their images. I don’t need an eCommerce solution for that right now as I’m not requiring payment. So do I need a plugin for that? If not I can use FTP to upload the image folders but need to know how to create a link that will start a download.

  • Can’t believe no one answered this. Apparently it only takes a zipped file and a link pointing to it. I tried it with a regular file and all you can do is look at it. Zipping the file does something that starts a download as soon as you click on the link. I figured it would take some php for that but it didn’t.
