# How do coupon plugins work?

 * Hello guys,
 * I am trying to find out how I could provide a discount for someone else’s product
   on my blog page and get paid as an affiliate. Logical choice seems to be coupon
   plugin. Ideally, when people click on a coupon on my website, they would be redirected
   to online store of the producer of that product, where they would make a purchase.
   But…how does the transaction between me and the product producer actually work?
 * how would I know that people made that purchase using my coupon? How would I 
   get paid the percentage? Any advice or tip?
