# How delete Events?

 * Hi all, I’m still testing this interesting plugin.
 * I’m not able to delete events. I can only perform a “soft-delete”. If i choose
   this option, the event disappear from the booking page but remain in the background
   list. In order to avoid a big increase of the show list i have to “modify” old
   show changing title, date and cover image to reuse the “slot”.
 * Could be useful to permit an hard delete of the event and at same time delete
   all booking of the event.

   Thanks for testing
   and the report.
 * The current behaviour is intentional. An event is linked to other records: bookings,
   payment records, and seat assignments. When you delete an event, it is removed
   from the admin list and from the booking page, but the row stays in the database.
   That way existing bookings still point to a real event, and payment records and
   reports keep working. If we wiped the event completely we would either leave 
   orphan records or destroy customer and payment history, so we chose to keep it
   in the background.
 * Deleted events should not show up in your admin list, so you should not need 
   to reuse old events by changing the title, date, and cover image. If a deleted
   event is still visible somewhere, tell us which screen and we will look into 
   it.
 * In the next version we will add an option to permanently delete an event. It 
   will remove the event and its seat assignments for good, and you will be able
   to choose whether to keep or remove its bookings, so past reservations are not
   lost by accident.
