    Hi guy,

I’m not sure the WordPress support forums are the correct place to ask a question about our website…

Yes, the plugin is definitely supported.

And, just to clarify, our commercial/premium plugins are the ones available on our site. Ultimate WP Mail is a completely free plugin with no premium or pay version. So all of the information about it can be found here on wordpress.org and all support can be done via these forums here on wordpress.org.

    I was only curious.
It kind of reflects bad on the plugin if the company that makes it doesn’t even mention it anywhere on their website, as if they are ashamed of it or don’t want to draw attention to it or something. Not even a changelog or feature request or roadmap or anything.

At least, I thought it was kind of odd. But thanks for clarifying! This was not a support question, I marked it as such. Not sure where else I’d be able to ask and find out.

You could have contacted us via the support center on our site, since you were already there browsing around.

Also, unless you are purposely trying to mislead people about our intentions, I think it’s a little unfair to make assumptions like the following:

as if they are ashamed of it or don’t want to draw attention to it or something

How can you know why we do or don’t include something on our website? As such, to just assume and state publicly that it might be because we are ashamed is a little strange. And to say this after I’ve already explained the reason is even more strange.

Just to reiterate, we only list our commercial/premium plugins on our website, as that is where you can purchase them. This is a completely free plugin, so all information, discussion and support is allowed, and is done, right here on wordpress.org.

The changelog is available here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/ultimate-wp-mail/#developers

And, if you would like to make a feature request, you can do so right here in the support forums. There is no commercial version, so all features can be supported and discussed right here.

OK, I was only sharing how it comes across to me personally, in my own opinion, that’s all. Not trying to convince anybody else of anything.
If I created a bunch of products, I’d put them on my site to help promote them. So, it only seems odd to me. Why wouldn’t you want the extra marketing for your plugin and build exposure to your brand?

I’m trying to help you out here. I went looking for a mass email plugin, I came across about 3 or 4 options. So then I looked into the authors of the plugins and visited their websites. Yours alone, doesn’t even make mention of the plugin anywhere on the site, so how do you think that reflects on the plugin’s credibility?

You can pretend like that doesn’t matter, but it does when people are researching plugins to use and want to make sure they are from quality authors. I want to make sure it has a legit author that stands by their product and comes across professionally. So how do you think that comes across to me when I go to the author’s website and they don’t talk about the plugin anywhere? I ask myself why? Why would they NOT talk about it? They don’t want people finding it? Don’t want to promote it? Why? It doesn’t look good to me. So much so that I came here just to ask this question because it was so bizarre.

Why did I not use the support on the website? Obviously because the website doesn’t talk about this plugin anywhere. That’s why I asked here, because here is where the plugin has any public info.

It would reflect better on this plugin if you had a section of the website that promotes the free plugins too. Then people wouldn’t wonder why the plugin author avoids promoting it.

Unfortunately, you don’t get to control how the public perceives your products, people have their own opinions and criteria, and I’ve explained mine. I’m sure I’m not the only one who would make these kinds of assumptions, so that is a question for your marketing and SEO and content people to discuss for better optics.

    Cheers
