how come the butons are not displaying on my slider?

Well I have the wowslider slider but the software is acting up and I already tried a fresh reinstall and it did not fix the issue.
If I go to wowslider program and upload my images and then click more settings and then click the general tab that is where my problems begin. There’s a box that says “check bullet navigation/filmstrip” I unchecked it since I don’t want bullets but for some reason it still shows bullets when I go to save my slider.
Theres also a box that says “show previous/next buttons” and I checked that one but for some reason my slider is not displaying previous or next buttons at all nor does the program give me a list of different buttons to choose from like it used to.
Not sure if there’s something going on with the program in general but I can’t seem to fix it. Help would be appreciated thanks.
