Well, it appeared suddenly when you visited. I still do not know how it is set to be visible, or how not to have comments at all.
You can disable comments from settings—discussion or on a post by post basis

Ok, I found the settings for discussion, but not for individual posts. Post settings, are they also under discussion settings or elsewhere?

This same question has been asked before, but the support agent did not answer the question. Really, how do visitors comment, when I cannot see on my website anywhere a place where they could comment.
The question was not about how to respond. or where to view the comments, but secifically “How Can Site Visitors Leave Comments Pertaining To Posts?”.
I have had comments, that I have approved, and answered, but my responses are also not visible. so the advice to approve a comment would make it visible, is not true.
