How can I use this with the Pods plugin?

I use a custom post type and am coding from a custom plugin I made. Eg I don’t use functions.php in the theme but rather code it all from a custom php file located in my own plugin that I use for all custom code edits to the site.

I got a template that I tried to add the shortcode [views] to but I guess I have to add a call or init function with add_action?

I however have no idea what to do. I hope its possible that its not needed to edit any theme file? Just do some magic from a plugin php file?
