How can I throttle email down to my hosting limit?

    I am running WP 2.3 and need to throttle my email down to less than 500/hour. Is there a plugin to do this or something else I can do?

    Can anyone help me?

    Are you talking about receiving or sending?

    If you’re talking about email received, you should probably explain a little more – because it might be a better solution to increase your hosting limit than to prevent people from reaching you via email.

    If you’re talking about sending, there are a number of 3rd party email apps that allow you to configure such things as time of day and rate of send…..

    Maybe if you provide a little more info someone can help you with a good solution

    I am talking about sending notifications. I have done some very customized things with my WP2.3 will need to send a notification to a select number of users. I have that all coded but I don’t know how to throttle down the number of emails being sent.
