I want to sign up for a free CloudFlare CDN service – but it will break my site if I use SSL – it only works over plain HTTP.
However, I need SSL for administering the page.
Is there a way I can set it up so all SSL requests are served from a different subdomain – such as secure.mydomain.com? This way, the CDN will not be active, and will not break anything.
It is also important that all pages except the admin are served over HTTP and nothing else, because if I enabled SSL for the entire page, then it would duplicate content – from secure. and www. subdomains! And search engines penalize that.
