Is there any video where i can see step by step what to do? Because i dont know how to move on after the donwload the child theme.

    No video.

    After download:

    1. Dashboard > Appearance > Themes
    2. Add new
    3. Browse to where you downloaded the child theme
    4. Add it
    5. Dashboard > Appearance > Editor
    6. You can now edit style.css and functions.php
    • If you don’t know php or don’t have access to your site via ftp, then don’t touch functions.php, it could break your access to the site (and you will need to use ftp to get it back).
    • Style.css is relatively innocuous: the worst that can generally happen is that your site will look wonky, but you can still access the stylesheet via the dashboard to put it right.

If you don’t feel comfortable doing any of this, hire someone to help you.

I put this code (as you can see here http://www.themesandco.com/snippet/center-header-block-items/ ) (the second code for functions.php), to the child theme in functions.php and after that, the page disappeared, showing a blank page when I went to open it.

Now my page is ok but if i will activate the child theme, i will have the same problem. Also i can not now make the changes…

what can i do now? Is the code wrong or i did something wrong?

sorry for my english, hope that you understand.

A classic cause is having blank lines at the end of functions.php.

Check & remove all blank lines (so the typical last line is } )
