CleanSave
[resolved] How can I NOT download other plugin info (i.e. Bible) when save w/ CleanSave? (8 posts)

    Hi, there!

This plugin is excellent. But, I have a major problem.

My post contents have many Bible references with WP-Bible attached to them. It is a plugIn that gives you a pop-up Bible verse when you mouse over the link, and some references are loooong.

And, when I tried both [Save] and [PDF] with CleanSave, it downloaded ALL the Bible verses with the text. It was way too much to edit, because some of my posts are very long with too many references. I cannot use it. Or, I will have to set up a PDF version page separately . . . may be.

Is there any way I could stop it from happening? Is there a "text only" option without any other plugIn related information?

You can see what I mean here . . .

    Thanks for your help!

WordPress does not have a method to adjust the HTML generated by one plug-in (e.g. WP-Bible) within another (e.g. CleanSave). You would have to develop your own to do so/

You can add the class name "cleanprint-exclude" to any HTML elements you wish to remove if this is easy to do.

BTW: We are looking into a fix on our end that may assist you. Stay tuned.

Sorta true. If the plugin is filterable then the output an be filtered provided your new plugin filters after the plugin fires.

It can be tricky but it's doable if you know the filter name. ;)

Glad to hear that you are working on it, John. I will probably have to wait for the fix, because I am new to this whole thing and need to stay away from fiddling with those CSS Codes and things for now until I learn more. Or, I will cause a disaster.

And, thanks, Jan, I will look into that in the mean time. I'll see if it is elementary enough for me.

I would love to use CleanSave plugIn for my posts so that many people can read with their own preferred method. I have searched but did not find anything that had nearly as many choices as CleanSave did. Good work!

    God bless.

We have a solution in the works that keeps "unseen" text from being printed. The problem is when someone selects the link and the text becomes visible it will print.

The "best" solution would be to tag those elements with "cleanprint-exclude" and then they will never print.

We should have the fix available in a day or two.

    Great!

I have checked the codex page Jan suggested, but it was like the Lorem Ipsum to me . . . : (

    Looking forward to the fix!

I will leave this thread open, so let me know when.

    God bless.

    Thanks, John!
It is working great! Very smooth.

I especially appreciate the Kindle download. My friends use it a lot. Thank you for the great plugin. I will be looking for more of your work, and will make sure to click the 5 star on the review.

    God bless.
