Support » Plugin: Slide Anything - Responsive Content / HTML Slider and Carousel » How can I make my slider transition at a linear speed?

  • I notice that when a slider transitions from one slide to the next, it moves quickly at first and then slows down at the end. I don’t see an option to disable that.

    I know that you can fix it with custom CSS:

    .owl-stage
    {
    	transition-timing-function: linear!important;
    }

    But is there an option to change this within the plugin?

    Nope, there is no option for this. And you’re the very first to ever ask about this.

    Glad you found a solution though 😉

    That’s surprising. From what I understand, it’s not possible to make a continuous slider like this without being able to remove the easing.

    Would it be possible to add a checkbox for that? Even in normal sliders it seems like it would be a useful option to have.

    The ‘Owl Carousel 2’ jQuery plugin (which my plugin is built upon) facilitates the use of the ‘animate.css’ library for slide transition animations:

    https://daneden.github.io/animate.css/

    So I have bundled ‘Animate.css’ with SA and have included a few select animations from this ‘animate.css’ library. I have never dug into the guts of ‘Animate.css’ as it just does what it says on the tin. Originally my plugin didn’t have extra animations (only the slide animation).

    So, I’ve added this to the checklist of things to look into in the future.
