How can I make a word count script counts the words on category’s posts as well

I have searched this forum for word count and i found couple,
the one that I use is a simple one from here:

http://lee.org/blog/images/words_in_post.phps

but it shows the no of words only when you are on the
first page,
if you click on a title of post, the page that loads has not word count on it.
not even on post of other categories.

I want to work around this to count the words on every post of categories as well.

I am very new in php,
can anyone guide me on this?

even if you know a word count that does so,
it would be nice as well, because I want to
study it and learn.
