How can I hide the JW shortcode in excerpts?

  • For those making the move late from Flash to HTML5 I found HANDBREAK works great to convert FLV to MP4 with no size increase, and JW Player plugin makes it all easy. Except…

I can’t seem to figure out how to hide the shortcode in the EXCERPTS of the index page.

    [jwplayer config="myplayer" file="http://rackjite.com/videos/mp4s/maherrules972012.mp4"]

Putting the code brackets around it in HTML editor doesn’t work.</p>
    <p>Any ideas?</p>

  • One solution would be to put a more tag above the shortcode. Another would be to remove the shortcode in your functions file for your homepage.

After many hours of hit and miss I found that answer in the JW plugin settings. Check DISABLE in the SHORTCODE settings area.

With HANDBREAK and JW PLAYER plugin the move to HTML5 was easy.
