I’ve got a WP 3.5.1 site with a homepage as a page (static), and a separate blog (posts, dynamic). I’m currently using the homepage to display various works from my portfolio.
Basically, I have one page with too much info on it. Each portfolio “article” has an image, verbiage and links to its respective page on the site.
Here’s a sample of the “article” code:
<article> <h2>Project Name</h2> <ul class="projectinfo"> <li><span>Client:</span>Client name</li> <li class="service"><span>Service:</span>type of service performed</li> </ul> <img src="/wp-content/uploads/client/image.jpg" alt="Client name and project type" title="Client name and project type" width="100%" border="0" /><br /> </article>
Now multiply that by 25 articles and you have what is now my homepage.
This has a negative affect on load times for the site.
How can I have each portfolio “article” as its own post, showing only on the homepage and not the blog? Also how can I have the post appear when scrolled instead of loading all at once?
