How can i Find the hostname,ftp server name and password

    Hi All

    Greetings to you….

    I have page in WordPress. It s works fine and good. In that i need to add some plugin.
    When i click the install plugin . It asks for HOST NAME, FTP USER NAME, FTP PASSWORD.

    My domain is registered in Google domain. where i can get the FTP USERNAME, FTP PASSWORD….

    HOST NAME = MY DOMAIN NAME

    WHAT IS MEANT BY FTP USERNAME, FTP PASSWORD… WHERE I CAN GET…

    cany one help me…

    @cloudfire21 if you are on a VPS or dedicated server I would recommend adding the following to your wp-config.php file:
    define('FS_METHOD', 'direct');

    This will bypass the the security check that is causing you to be prompted to enter FTP information. You could also do this on a shared host but it’s not recommended due to potential security concerns.

    If you are on a shared hosting environment then the server will need to be configured with FTP (most are) and there is usually an interface somewhere to create an FTP account. If you need help finding this information, I recommend speaking with your website host to find this information.

    Hi @cloudfire21,
    this usually happens when the PHP user on the web server has not enough privileges to write in the wp-content/plugin directory.
    As @simplisticsca suggested, contact your hosting provider to get support.
