How can I do this?

  • I’d like to be able to set up a user to to edit anyone’s posts or pages, including published posts/pages, but only be able to save the changes as drafts for review by an editor.

I’m already using the Capability Manager plug-in to set the permissions, and it works great for unpublished pages, but it looks like WP’s default capabilities also allow the users to update published posts/pages, instead of just saving as draft.

    Thanks!

  • There’s a plugin called Role Scoper. I never used it, but you might want to have a look at it, since it seems to have a lot of possibilities.

I tried Role Scoper, but it didn’t allow us to redefine the default capabilities that WordPress provides, just apply those capabilities at a per-page or per-category level (which we did not need).

    Any other thoughts?
