How can I decrease the width of my blog?

    Hello everyone,
    My first ever post here. Alright so basically I am noticing that the width of my blog is a bit too wide and I would like to shorten it a little bit. So i would appreciate if someone could tell me how to do it. Also, what is the preferred blog width?

    Second question, which isn’t as important, but how can I have a featured post widget right underneath the logo or in other words above my content but below the logo. I want the widget to be similar to the one in this website (Here)

    Especially with the kind of content you’re offering, you should really be using a responsive theme so it can be viewed on mobile devices too, and not a fixed-width theme which is best just for desktops.

    Once you’ve switched to a responsive theme, create a child theme, copy the header.php file from your parent theme, and add a custom widget position for the featured post right where you want it.
