Support » Plugin: Autoptimize » How can I deactive and delete Autoptimize?

I recently installed Autoptimize which was great for desktop but I realised my mobile site wasn’t working right.

I tried deactivating a few plugins and found that the problem was with Autoptimize. Although when I deactivate Autoptimize, it completely breaks my theme.

How can i remove the plugin completely as if it wasn’t even installed?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

the only thing that might be needed after deactivating would be to clear any page cache you might have hdossary.

re. “I realised my mobile site wasnโ€™t working right” -> that should also be fixable by reconfiguring Autoptimize actually, if interested first and foremost try to identify what is breaking things by just disabling CSS or JS or HTML or Image optimization (incl. lazyload). Based on that we can see what the next steps need to be ๐Ÿ™‚

hi, ok i have restored my site to how it was before i needed to delete the Autoptimize app.

Are you able to have a look at the site on mobile and figure out what problems are happening so i can adjust the Autoptimize settings?? everytime i try to untick anything, it just completely messes everyhing up. so i cant really test what works/what doesnt

    2 remarks:
-> with every change you make, you have to clear your page cache (which is not Autoptimize, as AO does not do page caching). might be a plugin, might be at server level, might be your hoster, might be 3rd party (Sucuri/ Cloudflare/ …)?
-> can you explain me how your mobile site breaks?

do you know of any page cache clearer apps which are compatible with AO?
oh actually i think i found out how to do it from hosting

    thanks. will try

Typically each page caching has it’s own way of clearing, there is (as far as I know) not one plugin that clears any page cache Heather. Based on the HTTP reponse header, which has x-proxy-cache: HIT in it, the caching most likely is at your hosters, maybe ask them how you can clear that?
