How can I customize email subscriptions?

Hi guys,

I just realized that when people subscribe to my blog by email, they are receiving the full text of my posts [and thus have no incentive to visit the site!] even though I have “summary” checked under Dashboard>Settings>Reading. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Also, is there any way to customize the wording of the emails that are sent out when someone subscribes to my blog or the comments on a certain post?

I would greatly appreciate any help anyone can give me!! Thank you so much.
