Hi @landed
That sounds like that at some point your URL must have gotten claimed already. Based on the Google documentation: https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/176793?hl=en there are 4 ways to do so: https://d.pr/i/Gh2B02
If it was claimed using an HTML file, then the file should be residing in your website’s root folder.
Other than that I would check every tag manager and google analytics account you have access to.

Yes I claimed it already. Know all about how to claim a url.
This doesn’t address my issue. I still cannot connect this plugin to an existing account.
There is only the option to make a new account. I prefer not to do that as it isn’t really good practise.
I would expect a button to link an existing account. Thank you.

If you want to connect to an existing Merchant account yes that’s possible.
Here is my setup where I was able to select an existing account:

If you’re not seeing an option to select an existing account, please make sure to do the following:
– Make sure you select the correct Google account where the Merchant accounts you want to connect is located
– Make sure it’s not a Multi-client account, because such account isn’t supported yet, so you will need to create a new account to be used with Google Listing and Ads.
I hope that helps!

Thanks yes I don’t see that as in the image. I connected to the Ad account not the merchant account.
So how do I disconnect??
TY
Hi @landed ,
I connected to the Ad account not the merchant account.
So how do I disconnect??
The extension connects to “Google” account (which basically holds your Ad account and Merchant Centre). If you wish to disconnect and connect with another Google account, then please go to WP-Admin > Marketing > Google Listings & Ads > Settings and select the “Disconnect all accounts” button. Please see the screenshot for reference:

After this, you would be able to set up and connect with other Google Account.
Do let us know if you have any further queries.

That is amazing because it shows me what i am missing.
I cannot see any menu bar like you do. I just get the flow with nothing at the top. The view is not rendering the links for settings. I can get you a screen shot eventually but maybe the devs can get an idea of the view issue when you get stuck in this flow.

Can you share the url for the setting directly. That should be the easiest fix thanks.
Hi @landed,
The direct link to the settings page would be this below with your site domain added before /wp-admin/
.
/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wc-admin&path=%2Fgoogle%2Fsettings

Thanks- I have now disconnected all then connected but it shows a merchant account number that I don’t recognise. I used the email address associated with the right account.
I see that I have not the address and am not able to add this for some reason. However the reports hang when loading for the dashboard and generally it isn’t working.
Do I need to do anything in Merchant Centre like accept the connection? Though it’s a different Merchant Number displayed.
Thank You

The following worked:
When connecting to Google pick the email for the MC you need.
Crucial step to check all the boxes to allow woocommerce to be able to do anything.
Then it showed my existing accounts.
Thanks for your help.
Hi @landed
