    Hi! first of all I have to say that I’m the owner of the domain and the server, so the “ask your hosting” solution isn’t pretty useful hahaha
    I’m getting this error while sending a test message from an email created in cpanel

    2019-07-05 00:31:28 Connection: opening to ssl://mail.sencillisimo.net:465, timeout=300, options=array (
    )
    2019-07-05 00:31:28 Connection: Failed to connect to server. Error number 2. “Error notice: stream_socket_client(): Peer certificate CN=ns0.ovh.net' did not match expected CN=mail.sencillisimo.net’
    2019-07-05 00:31:28 Connection: Failed to connect to server. Error number 2. “Error notice: stream_socket_client(): Failed to enable crypto
    2019-07-05 00:31:28 Connection: Failed to connect to server. Error number 2. “Error notice: stream_socket_client(): unable to connect to ssl://mail.sencillisimo.net:465 (Unknown error)
    2019-07-05 00:31:28 SMTP ERROR: Failed to connect to server: (0)
    2019-07-05 00:31:28 SMTP connect() failed. https://github.com/PHPMailer/PHPMailer/wiki/Troubleshooting

    It seems like a domain DNS error, what do I need to change? 🙂 I have access to all DNS records in my domain

    This can be the issue with your SSL certificate. The correct fix for this is to replace the invalid, misconfigured certificate with the correct one or add this custom code to prevent validation of the cert. You should not do this unless you have to – it’s compromising your security.

    In case it helps, here’s a tutorial on where and how to add custom codes like that.

    I hope this helps!

    Hi, I appreciate the answer, but I have tried with others cpanel emails in domains that I bought preconfigured (for a expensive prize, that’s why I changed to my own vps) and they worked fine, I think I just have to change the CNAME of mail.sencillisimo.net in my domain configuration https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/515837245794811904/597729152417923092/unknown.png (I uploaded the image to discord, but you can see it in that link)

    I’m sure this isn’t a SSL certificate problem, but I guess I’ll have to use the code you provided :S
