    Where did you download this theme from?

    Try using Firefox with the Firebug add-on for this kind of CSS troubleshooting. Or use whatever developer tool is available in your web browser.

    It was made by a friend for Responsive!

    I’m trying the Firebug and can change everything else apart from the background color of the container!

    That os not the original Responsive theme. It’s a child theme.
