How can I add widgets to blog posts / pages?

Hi @christinaxzy – while you can’t add widgets outside of a theme’s widget areas, the Jetpack subscription widget has a shortcode you can use in a post or page.

Try pasting this in the post or page where you’d like it to appear:

[blog_subscription_form]

That said, the homepage of your site is the posts page, which displays only posts in a grid, not a static page, so you wouldn’t be able to display the subscription form there without some theme modifications.

If you’d like to modify the theme to add a widget area below the posts grid, you’ll need to make some theme changes, requiring some edits and some PHP, HTML, and CSS knowledge.

Making a child theme means your changes won’t be overwritten when you update the theme. If you’re new to child themes, you can explore these guides:
