how can i add "position" textbox to post page on admin side.

  • Hello Everyone,

Simple just i want to add the text field named “post_position” on post page on admin side after the content_post text area. I also want to save the position of the particular post into database as well.

I have created site in wordpress with 500 products have been added but that all product are added into wrong order, now i want to rearrange all the product so how can i do this.

For the above issues solution i am thinking to add the position field on post page admin side. so i feature if i want rearrange the data then i can simple add the position number on edit post page and solve the issues.

Please let me know where i have to change it so i can add the position text box to post page.

  • Hi Jignesh, instead of going for custom fields solution, I would advice you to go with a plugin instead. There are a lot of decent plugins available that would manage this for you easily.

Check this link here to find the post order sorting plugins
