How can I add location to user profile and default location as a tag for posts?

How can I add a custom field to the user profile page (location) and have this field be used as a default tag for every post this user writes?

For example, author Steve is from Orlando. I’d like every post Steve writes to be tagged “orlando” by default.

1) Is there a plugin I should look for that adds custom fields to user profiles?
2) Is there a plugin I should look for that defaults profile information as a post tag?
