• hi,
    in the description there is that:
    “Private files, that can be assigned to a particular user and will get listed in its customer area”.
    I have 500 client, and for each client I have 500 pdf file and I want assigned its in the custom area. One file for each client.
    for example:
    User with ID:1 -> File “1.pdf”
    User with ID:2 -> File “2.pdf”
    User with ID:1 -> File “3.pdf”
    etc…
    My question is the following:
    There is an automatic system that let me upload in a few click all 500 files, one file for each 500 clients?
    I dont know if it is possible with you pluguin by a few clicks, or if I need upload all 500 files one by one (in this can I need one day or more…).

    If I need upload files one by one, maybe you must integrate the pluguin with an option that let upload at the administrator a csv file.
    For example I can write a csv file with two columns:
    Column 1: ID user
    Column 2. File Name
    So, if I upload my 500 file in wordpress using the “MEDIA SECTION”, and I introduce the csv file, all 500 files will be automatically uploaded in the custom area in two minuts.

    I am interesting in to do that.
    I hope your answer.

    Thanks very much.

  • Hi,

    We currently do not have any easy way to do batch import. You’ll need custom development for that. A freelance developer should be able to do that for you.

    Hi Vicent,
    thanks very much for your fast answer.
    I want paid you for this custom development, and if you want you can introduce this feature in the oficial pluguin.
    But if you suggest me to contact with another developer, I understand that
    you dont make custom support.
    There is no problem…

    Only one question more:
    Do you know if WP Custom Area is compatible with BuddyPress?

    Thanks very much.

    Hi,

    Please contact me by email: contact (at) wp-customerarea (dot) com

    I will be able to give you a quote if you send precise requirements for the CSV file import.

    Regarding BuddyPress compatibility, we have not heard of anything that could be wrong.
