How Are Nightly Builds Labeled ?

Just An Inquiry (not a complaint).
I have both THIS plugin AND the WordPress Beta Tester plugin installed. What I don’t get is how the Core Developers are labelling the nightly builds. The reason I want to know, is I get twice daily emails claiming that my site as been updated, but there are no new version numbers indicated (only the date of the update). Here’s where they supposedly come from: https://wordpress.org/nightly-builds/wordpress-latest.zip.
The Trunk is currently at version #26907. How do I find out which WordPress 3.9 alpha version I have ?
