After activating the plugin and put the shortcode [twofactor_user_settings] in the front end of the website (in an Elementor block), still there is no sign of this plugin, as if it does not exist. What to do in order to activate the 2-factor authentication for the registered users? Thank you!

Update: After a while, a long text appeared in the front-end where it should have been, but it did not recognize a the password of test-user I was testing. Overall, it seems to me too difficult to make it working, and it is a pity since this plugin apperared to be promising

    Hi,

I don’t know what you mean by “it did not recognize a the password of test-user I was testing” – the plugin doesn’t verify passwords; that is done by WordPress core. The plugin adds a facility to add a one-time code to the login process.

I suspect that you were looking at the page whilst not logged in; the plugin only outputs settings for logged-in users. (Also if you have cacheing that may affect it).

Or perhaps it is something that Elementor is doing? I would recommend trying it outside of an Elementor block, as a normal shortcode.

    David
