Support » Plugin: OoohBoi Steroids for Elementor » HoverAnimator – Timings and Eases not applied.

  • Hey Dude,

I’ve got issues with the HoverAnimator, it doesn’t apply any of the eases or transition timings to my elements. It works for the initial setting so say, Offset Top Normal: 0 to Offset Top Hover: 200, but it jumps on hover. I’ve also noticed even if set other hover options eg. opacity, then turn it off its doesn’t clear. Although I’ve now found that by turning off the widget HoverAnimation and then turning it back on, that fixes the issue. I’ve looked through the console log and no errors are showing. I’ve tested it in both Chrome and Safari.

    Thanks M

HoverAnimator works as a Column hover event and as such it requires to be enabled per column as well as per column widget (or multiple widgets).
So, if you plan to animate the Heading widget on its parent column hover event, you have to :
    a) enable HoverAnimator for Column – highlight the target column, Advanced tab > HoverAnimator panel > Enable HoverAnimator
    b) enable HoverAnimator for the Heading widget – highlight the Heading widget > Advanced tab > HoverAnimator panel > Enable HoverAnimator

Thanks for getting back to me. I’ll go and check but I’m 99.9% sure that’s what I’m doing. In fact, by disabling and enabling the Hoveranimator setting it clears the second issue I mentioned, where options seem to remain on even though they’re not activated, but have had been previously. Just to clarify, its not that the settings aren’t completely working, but that the timing and eases aren’t functioning, so the animations jump from, say 0 to 1 or 0px to 200px.

I’ll setup an example, the site isn’t live presently, but I’ll link you to it when I have chance today so you can see what I mean. If that’s good for you? I just wanted to report the bug I’m seeing. It’s not desperate from my end, I’ve just done it with CSS instead.

I’ve been using the plugin since you released it and it’s top notch, seriously grateful for it and the YouTube vids. Improves elementor and actually makes it functional. Cheers.
