The hotspots won’t stay where they are put. I create a hotspot and click view changes from Draw Attention plugin page and it works fine. I publish it and view the actual website in chrome and it has moved to the right apx 100 pixels. Open it in firefox and it moves 10 -15 pixels up and left. Edge moves it to a new location. Android is ok in one orientation and half a screen off in the other orientation. Is there something I am doing wrong? we are using canvas theme. Each picture has it’s own direction and distance offsets even on same browser. http://missoulasnowgoers.org/admin/trail-report/

Hi there, sorry but I’m not seeing the clickable areas. I think maybe the “snow effect” plugin that interacts with the mouse may be affecting it? Can you try disabling that plugin temporarily while we troubleshoot? Also if you’re able to disable other plugins besides Draw Attention temporarily, that will help determine if the problem is a conflict with another plugin. If you have any other image mapping plugin, I’d start with disabling that next after the snow effect plugin. Let us know what you find, or if you send us a login to support@tylerdigital.com we’re happy to help you take a look!

    Thanks,
    Nathan

I will send you a login. The hotspot shows up in the preview which uses the same snow effect so don’t think that is the issue.

Thanks for the login, we narrowed this down to a conflict with the Canvas theme. We were able to add some code to Draw Attention to fix the incompatibility and we’ve uploaded the new version to your site 🙂 As a general note, it might help to make the highlightable areas larger so they are easier for users to discover – and small areas are very difficult to use on mobile devices.

We’ll include the compatibility fix in the next version of Draw Attention we release 🙂 Let us know if you have any other questions!
