    If you go here: http://en.wordpress.com/tags/

You get a linear tag cloud, but here's the interesting part:

It only includes recent activity, so it should change quite a bit over time.

Now. I can't find, anywhere, a plugin that will let me achieve this goal. It's basically like trending terms on Twitter, and I'm staggered that a plugin hasn't been made for it.

Standard tag clouds are boring and pretty useless, but a tag cloud which displays the most popular tags from a recent time period is both useful and informative.

So, WordPress. Being as you've demonstrated that it can be done, how's about you let the rest of us in on the secret? :D

    That's debatable.

If you're addressing WordPress.com, you need to ask them.

I'm going to move this onto the Requests and Feedback forum.

Sorry to disappoint but there is no organisational infrastructure at WordPress.org.

Can someone who's not a "WordPress Newbie" please help me out here?

I'm not the first person to ask this...

What's that com vs org article got to do with anything?

I'm not going to hire someone.

It must be possible, because WordPress themselves have done it, so if you volunteer moderators could contain yourselves briefly, I'd quite like to hear from someone who wants to offer some support.

    Rather than the opposite.

    WordPress.com have implemented it.
Please seek support there http://en.support.wordpress.com .

Some features on .COM are not available on .ORG sites (unless via a plugin). Have you looked for those?

    WPyogi, yes.

I can't find, anywhere, a plugin that will let me achieve this goal.

This is why I am asking here, because I'm sure someone smart will know how to do it.

This one has a setting where you can include only tags within a certain number of days - would that do it?

Excellent work there squire, that might do the job. I'll have a look.

    Thanks for looking for me.

We are volunteers here, for the good of everyone, not just the cranky types who make it difficult by not reading links and acknowledging the help that has been offered.

I guess you don't understand irony; if you looked at Andrew Nevins' profile, you'd see that he has been around for answers in ~8000 threads. And WPyogi ~9300. (And me a measly ~3900.)

    Rather than the opposite.

Exactly. So did you look in plugins and read the .com vs .org docs, or were you just expecting everyone else to look for you?
