I have setup and tested a WordPress blog on IIS7. I now want to access the application from a subdirectory of an ASP.NET website on the same server.
I have created a virtual directory named ‘blog’ in the ASP.NET application and it resolves to the root directory of my wordpress application.
When I try and access the wordpress blog through the main domain for the website, I get configuration errors from the ASP.NET application.
HTTP Error 500.19 – Internal Server Error
Config Error Configuration section not allowed to be set below application
The problem seems to be web.config references. I have added …
<section name=”modules” allowDefinition=”MachineToApplication” overrideModeDefault=”Deny” />
To my applicationHost.config but still get the error. Is it possible to host wordpress below and ASP.NET site like this?
