 * Hi, I want to host video content on my own website rather than have it hosted
   somewhere else.
 * I also want to make that content paid-for only.
 * Is there a way to achieve these goals please ?

 * You should be able to just upload videos using the built in media manager. Then
   just use a membership plugin or something (look on Extend) and go from there.
 * Most of those plugins allow you to use tags to hide content within post, pages
   etc.
