# Hosting Transfer

 * There is a site that I now administer that I would like to transfer to a different
   hosting server which is an ULTIMATE Linux site I also administer at GoDaddy.
 * The site to be moved to a different server is…:
    [http://NewDawnCommunities.org](http://NewDawnCommunities.org)
 * I can copy the files easily enough to the new directory where the domain will
   point to. However, I know I’ve also got to deal with the database associated 
   with it.
 * Can anyone point to any really good reference/article that includes all the steps
   for moving both files and database?
 * GoDaddy pointed me to this one.:

 * as for the wordpress files – downloading your `wp-content` folder is all you 
   need as it has the theme and plugin files
 * just install wordpress on the new server
    overwrite the `/wp-content` folder 
   with yours adjust `wp-config.php` to point to new database import database from
   old server
