Support » Fixing WordPress » Hosting more than one wordpress with subdomains?

  • Hi there,
I have two main blogs that I am running ( at http://www.tripcastradio.com and http://www.tripcastradio.com/blog)

What I want to do, is have my main site remain the same, but link to my blog with blog.tripcastradio.com. At the moment, this works, but all it is doing is re-directing to the above URL.

What I would like is *ALL* paths for the blog to use the blog.tripcastradio.com URL (so for example blog.tripcastradio.com/about)

This is the rule I have in my .htaccess file:
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^blog.tripcastradio.com$ [NC]
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/subdir/.*$
    RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.tripcastradio.com/blog$1 [R=301,L]

All I can find on the web is tutorials on how to set up redirects like I already have working.

Google for “Virtual Host” instead of redirects and such. Basically you can setup the subdomain to point directly at the other content, no redirects.
