• Anyone who can help me with my predicament, please? Would greatly appreciate it…

My hosting account was suddenly and unfairly suspended by Host Jester supposedly for non-payment, where in fact I had paid in advanced. I have been trying to contact them for a week now via e-mails, support ticket submissions, phone calls, but to no avail; no response from their side, except the automated reply to the support ticket. My biggest concern is that the company could be in serious trouble and could have folded up already, and there’s no way for me to have my website re-instated or un-suspended. I cannot access my cPanel nor my WordPress account! I would like now to transfer my account to a more reputable service provider, but not sure if that can be done given the status of my account.

Please, how can I access my cPanel and WordPress accounts under this circumstance?

    Thank you so much…

  • NOt sure if it will work, but it might be worth a try.

Dreamhost.com has an autoinstaller robot that will import fantastico data and databases from other sites. This is porbably a feature on other sites as well – just do a google search to check. Dreamhost has a 2 week trial. Transfer the database over during your trial period, and then install to a server of your choice.

Not sure if it will work with your suspended account. good luck

Thanks! What about my WordPress account for that suspended website, is there a way for me to access it already?

That is one reason you should keep a backup on your own computer so you do not loose your website may loose few days work but not whole website.

Understand… this is a learning curve for me; a painful one… I’m a newbie… but as in life, there’s always hope… I shall try again. At least now, am better equipped with this lesson learned.

Back to my question please: What about my WordPress account for that suspended website, is there a way for me to access it already?

    Thanks…

Since they are not answering to your emails or support tickets then question comes up if the server is still there with your account on the server.

your wordpress account for that site is your admin/user account you created in the database. your user account for that site is not connected to wordpress.com or wordpress.org. YOu need to somehow retrieve the database, and then your user info and all posts etc will be in that database. Transfering the database to another installation of WordPress is the only way to access your user account on that site

Ohlala… Will give Dreamhost a try.

    Thanks so much!
