Confusing UI, can’t detect WooCommerce strings, and documentation site offline

I tried searching for various strings that appear on the WooCommerce checkout pages, but the plugin doesn’t detect any of them. The documentation website that’s referenced in the description is not responding, and the plugin itself doesn’t include any instructions on how to get it to work.

The plugin lookes like a dated solution to translating themes that hasn’t caught up with WordPress developments in recent years.
